Is Revelation Real? One Church Says ‘Yes’ in New Online Seminars on Revelation’s Fulfillment

On September 26, USA Today ran an online story on the connection between the COVID-19 vaccine and the mark of the beast described in the Book of Revelation, a prophetic book found in the New Testament Bible. 

With many congregants confused and curious about the connection between Revelation and world events today, pastors and ministers are finding themselves at a loss of how to properly address their concerns. 

One church has risen up to the challenge and is hosting online seminars for pastors to come and learn about Revelation according to the Bible and be equipped with the proper answers for any related questions. The online seminar, which begins on October 18th, will be on “The Testimony on Prophecy and Fulfillment of Revelation, God’s New Covenant” and will be held twice a week until December of this year. 

The host organization, Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, is no stranger to online seminars on the Bible and pastoral education. The Church held a series of seminars in August where over 1,700 pastors and 28,000 audience members participated and learned about different topics such as the state of faith today, issues with church attendance, and how to stabilize the faith community during the time of COVID. 

Issues with church engagement and growth were also addressed, with several attendees signing up for their subsequent classes and workshops designed for ministry leaders to become equipped in dealing with attendance decline and a lack of interest in church-related matters. 

Mr. Kim Shin-chang, General Director of the International Mission Department of Shincheonji Church, said “the number of participants at this time reflects their interest and effort to understand the words of Revelation consistently with the words of the rest of the books of the Bible.”

The seminar series that begin in October will be led by the chairman of the organization, Mr. Lee Man-hee. Lee has been a critical figure in the Christian movement for revival within our churches and the global call for Christians to go back into Scripture. He describes himself as the witness and messenger in Revelation 22, the one who saw and heard the physical fulfillment of the events of the Book of Revelation. Thus, he is equipped with a unique understanding of the prophetic and symbolic content within Revelation. 

The online seminars are expected to be like a breath of fresh air to many Christians and seekers who have been inundated with social media posts and fake news about the mark of the beast and its relation to COVID that capitalize on people’s fears of the pandemic.
